Hello, my name is Merry Young and I am a creative professional with extensive experience in print and digital publishing including writing, editing and graphic design. I co-founded Mutiny Studios in 2011 after working for 10 years as a writer and editor for magazines and newspapers.
My goal is to use my combined career experience to help clients build meaningful connections with their audiences through creative storytelling and smart, stunning design. I enjoy working on a variety of creative projects whether it's writing a well-crafted article or designing an eye-catching album cover.
I also worked as a professional musician for 15 years and though many of my clients are from the music industry, I also enjoy working in a wide variety of other niches including food, travel, outdoors, the environment, green living, arts and culture, nonprofits and health and wellness. I am currently based in Portland, OR.
